QC, which stands for qualità controllata, Italian for certified quality, is the quality mark created by Emilia Romagna Region to identify fresh and processed agricultural products and foodstuffs obtained using techniques that protect the environment and consumers’ health.

After years of research, the scientists and experts at Emilia Romagna region established a series of principles that must be observed at every stage of production by companies aspiring to the QC mark: from the growing to the processing of ingredients, taking in the entire production cycle through to the delivery of goods to retail outlets.
